Atlanta Waffle House Shooting

” Union City police said Pollard and other customers were eating inside the Waffle House off Jonesboro Road shortly before 2 a.m. when a man with a black bandana on his face and hood on his head stormed inside with a gun drawn.

” He was just pointing the gun back and forth,” Pollard said.

The robber wouldn’t know it until later, but Pollard and his childhood friend, Jonathan Sutton, who happens to be an Atlanta police officer, both had guns.

Sutton was off duty and didn’t fire, but Pollard did.

” I felt that not only my life, but everyone’s life was in danger. So I had to do what I had to do,” Pollard said. “

Union City Police Officer Arrested For Stealing Gun, Selling To Felon

Cop Steals Gun

” A Union City police officer has been arrested for stealing a gun from a fellow police officer and then selling it to a known felon.

Scottie Brothers was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Canadian County Sheriff’s deputies. Undersheriff Chris West says the victim in the case asked the CCSO to investigate after the Union City police chief refused to.

According to West and the Probable Cause affidavit, Brothers stole at least one gun from fellow officer William Ingram while he was house sitting for Ingram in May of 2010. At the time Ingram noticed the gun was missing but thought he just misplaced it. “

The Moment Storm Chasers Narrowly Escape Twin Tornadoes As They Touch Down Near Oklahoma City

” Dramatic video shows a team of storm chasers tracking the multiple tornadoes that hit the Oklahoma City area on Friday night.

Brandon Sullivan and Brett Wright captured heart stopping footage of their exploits getting close to the powerful twister near Union City, in southwest Oklahoma City.

In the intense clip, the pair are seen frantically trying to drive to safety as the tornado approaches and while they manage to escape by the skin of their teeth, their vehicle suffers serious damage from debris that flies straight into their windshield.”

Another team of Storm Chasers suffered an even worse fate … fortunately no one was killed .

” Among those who survived a direct hit from Friday’s massive twister were The Weather Channel’s “Tornado Hunt 2013” crew, one of several gangs of tornado chasers that regularly work the High Plains. Three crew members inside the Yukon SUV were scratched and bruised, but otherwise okay, after attempting unsuccessfully to outflank the oncoming twister.

“We saw a big giant wedge tornado, a rain-wrapped tornado, and we were trying to get away from it,” crew member Mike Bettes told the Weather channel.

“The vehicle I was in, we took a ride,” Mr. Bettes said. “The tornado threw us about 200 yards. I’m speechless. That was the scariest moment of my life. We were floating, then tumbling, we tumbled I don’t know how many times, and then we were airborne, just floating and then we weren’t tumbling, and then we came down hard.” “
