Weasel On Woodpecker: ‘How I Snapped The Photo’ BBC News

From BBC News

” The amateur photographer who took a picture of a weasel on the back of a woodpecker mid-flight says it is “almost a dream”.

Martin Le-May took it while walking with his wife in Hornchurch Country Park in east London. He said “It’s almost a dream that you take a photograph that lots and lots of people not only look at but like”. “

Watching the video and hearing Mr Le-May explain the circumstances of the tiny weasel attempting to take down prey nearly twice it’s size immediately brought to mind this old Merry Melodies cartoon :

Like the weasel , this tiny chickenhawk had the “cojones” to tackle prey many times his size , namely Foghorn Leghorn … LOL

Someone Tried To Shame Her Body With Graffiti, But This Teen Took An Awesome Photo Instead

” When 14-year-old Carleigh O’Connell heard that a gibe about her body had been spray-painted on a cement block for her whole town to see, she responded in the unlikeliest, but most awesome of ways: She snapped a photo while posing proudly with the graffiti.

She then shared the image on social media and told her mom, Daryl, to do the same.

She wanted the image to go viral. She wanted to turn the story around.

” [Carleigh] decided that she was going to be stronger than hurtful words on the concrete and that she was going to be proud of her figure,” the teen’s mom wrote in a Sunday Facebook post. “She also told me that she feels complete sympathy for the teenagers across the country who face this everyday. She understands and wants all of them to find strength inside to rise above the nastiness and be empowered by who you are, how you are made and what is in your heart.” “

Hot Mom Defends Herself Against Facebook Haters

” A California fitness enthusiast and mother of three is defending a controversial photo of herself that has prompted a cavalcade of Facebook critics to accuse her of fat shaming women.

In the photo, seen at left, 32-year-old Maria Kang poses in a workout bra and matching micro shorts — revealing an incredibly toned figure with washboard abs — while surrounded by her three young sons, now 1, 3 and 4. Floating above her head is the question, “What’s your excuse?” The picture has gone viral, with more than 16 million views on Facebook, and has generated more than 12,000 comments. And while much of the input has been of the supportive “you go, girl” variety, plenty of it has been made up of angry, offended personal attacks on the photo subject, calling her everything from “obnoxious” and “fake” to a bad mom and a bully.

Because of the barrage, Kang has put together a FAQ page about her personal life, with responses to many of the criticisms and accusations she’s become accustomed to hearing. For example: “Do you work?” (Yes. She owns two small residential care facilities for the elderly.) “Do you have a nanny?” (No.) “Are those your kids? They all look different.” (“I have to say this is the funniest comment I’ve read. Of course, my children look like both the mother and father,” she writes. “I am half Malaysian Chinese and Filipina. My husband is a Caucasian mix of German, French, Norwegian and Spanish. They are all my kids.”)

Viral photo: Naked Woman Chases Naked Man With Sex Doll In China

“As far as photos going viral these ones could be said to show just the bare facts. Somehow photos of a naked man running in Beijing while carrying a naked female mannequin and being chased by a real naked woman – whew! – has hit the internet in China.

Some Chinese viewers think the photos are a hoax, others, Li said, feel they might be connected to an American game popular in China called ‘Temple Run’, which she describes as “a popular game where a player takes on the role of an explorer attempting to steal an idol from a temple and outrun monsters chasing from behind.” Monsters?”
