Obama Won Dozens of Cleveland Districts with 100% of the Vote

” President Obama must have run a great campaign considering the tremendous numbers he put up in numerous big cities. Over in Philadelphia, he was lucky enough
to get 90% percent turnout in some
districts with over 99% of the vote.

In Cleveland, in some districts he did even better with an astounding 100% of the vote in dozens of locations . “

Mayor Nagy Bloomberg wants to run the NYC Marathon : What could be less important right about now ?

Join the Facebook Page : Stop The Marathon

So through the Mayor’s infinite wisdom we get this…

Instead of this …

Just to put things in perspective here is a partial list of resources used during the running of the 2010 race …

” 12 ferries, 500 buses, 1,694 portable toilets, 42,000 PowerBars, 90,000 bottles of water and 563 pounds of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee beans, enough to make 45,000 cups (that’s just at the start line), 62,370 gallons of water and 32,040 gallons of Gatorade, another 60,000 PowerBar Gel packets, 11,410 pounds of ice, 13,475 bandages, 57,059 salt packages and 390 tubs of Vaseline. 435 cots and 30 defibrillators.”

This just scratches the surface in terms of cost to the city in manpower and money :

“The NYPD breaks down its overtime budget into “planned” and “unplanned” events. Occupy Wall Street is categorized as an unplanned event, as are natural disasters, presidential visits and sports playoffs requiring increased police presence. Just because an event is planned doesn’t mean it comes cheap: The IBO reports that the New York City Marathon cost $2.3 million in overtime last year.”

There are not enough police to spare for a Halloween Parade but plenty for a road race ?

“Unfortunately, we just cannot spare the manpower from the NYPD and other city agencies to host the annual Greenwich Village Halloween parade,” Bloomberg told news station NY1. Although the Mayor’s initial statement left open the possibility for the parade to be rescheduled, the parade’s official website announced later that the event was formally cancelled.”

This mayor is a man of misplaced priorities , but what can we expect when we elect elitist , busybody” billionaires as representatives of ” the People ” . Of course we can rest assured that none of hissoner’s loved ones are among the missing , suffering or homeless , can’t we ?

Update/related :

Because he’s done such an incredible job demonstrating his grasp of basic economics , he should be lecturing us poor schlubs who actually CREATE jobs .

Bottom up economics ? What exactly is the meaning of that phrase ?

Question : When was the last time you were hired by a poor person ?

” President Obama has a provoking penchant for using seemingly simple, yet reassuringly
intelligent-sounding, business and economic terms in a wildly misleading manner (regular
readers know I’m convinced that somewhere a fairy dies every time the word “investment” escapes his lips). In this latest instance of
beguiling economic messaging at a campaign rally in Florida on Friday, President Obama touted the need for more “bottom-up”economics :

   He told his audience Republicans,
including presumptive presidential
nominee Mitt Romney, “believe that we should go back to the top-down economics of the last decade.” “

My Kind Of Grill

What’s to say , other than F..king A . This is a MAN”S grill .

This is certainly sensible , wouldn’t you say ? Lord knows barbers are a real threat to public health . I find myself constantly wanting to use the “WTF” label on posts and have to remind myself that I’ve used it before .
The fact that so many “WTF” moments arrive via the normal news day speaks to an alarming fact . “We are RULED , not governed ” . WTF ?

” Among their findings: Cosmetologists need, on average, 10 times as many days to fulfill their educational and training
requirements (372) than emergency
medical technicians (33). In fact, 66
occupations face greater average licensing burdens than EMTs. “

The latest incarnation of Obama’s re-election strategy is ” Forward ” a message with distinctly socialist overtones as we’ve explored earlier in the week . Now we find that Wikipedia has aspirations of making the evidence of that association disappear down the memory hole . But what I really want to know is what happened to the previous brainstorm of an idea they had for a campaign slogan ? do you remember the last stroke of genius to come from the Obama camp ? inning he uture ? ROFLMAO … Does anyone in that organization THINK before they do something ?
